Balancing workload

Sometimes balancing the workload for everyone is as important as minimizing the total distance. In this example, we will show you how to do that. Balancing workload is about creating fair schedules. Set fairWorkloadPerResource to true to spread the workload (service time) over the days of each individual resource:

Or set fairWorkloadPerTrip to true to spread the workload over all vehicles and all days:

The effect is controlled by weights.workloadSpreadWeight and options.workloadSensitivity. The sensitivity is the percentage within which two workloads are still considered equal, for example 50 and 58 hours at a sensitivity of 10%.
